Construction of worlds first 3D-printed real-size windturbine has started!

Exciting times ahead! Something that has never been done before is about to happen. At this very moment we are printing a windturbine with a wingspan of 2 meter!

Many have tried to print small windturbines, but thourough knowledge of windturbine was lacking. Mostly the blade and generator design was poor, if the windturbine even had a generator.

Our windturbine is printed with PLA, wich allows for some improvements over the windturbine on which it was inspired on, the 2F windturbine by Hugh Piggot from Scoraigwind.

First results!

After a few days of printing and solvent-welding the parts together, we finished the blades!

Next up: printing the generator!
